Welcome to my career online! In this section of my website, you will get to know where I've worked and what I've done so far in terms of my graphic design and artistic career.

I have worked for almost 15 years as a graphic designer, though I've always considered myself to be artistic in nature. I will show you my career portfolio, as well as personal projects I have worked on, from college projects to my own ideas. I hope you find them visually appealing.

On this page, I will tell you what each category on the green bar stands for, though the names are pretty self-explanatory.

This is the home page for Mell's Sell, a.k.a. this page you are on right now. I needed a home page for this section of my website, therefore I've elected to design/write it in a similar fashion to my main home page on Mell's Dell.

Mell's Sell - Resume

This is my updated resume. It lists all the places I've worked at and all the experiences I have gained over the years. It's pretty self-explanatory.

Mell's Sell - Portfolio - Cover Designs

This marks the start of my portfolio. In this section you will see the various covers I have designed, or re-designed as the case may be.

Most of the work showcased here is from my current job at Spicebox. Obviously I wanted to show this section first on my portfolio because it demonstrates what I've done recently.

The cover designs is where I really get to showcase my graphic design skills. Have a look at what it is I have to offer.

Mell's Sell - Portfolio - Magazine Layouts

This section consists entirely from my work at JuneWarren. I was working as an assistant to a lead designer on these spreads, so the overall look and feel was already designed by the lead designer. I was, however, responsible for these sections that I am showcasing here, so you will get a feel of what my layout design skills are.

Mell's Sell - Portfolio - Ads

The vast majority of my design career has focused largely on ad creation, mostly for cars and homes, but have focused on other areas as well. As I have worked on a wide variety of publications, mostly newspapers, but also magazines and telephone directories, these companies primarily get their revenue from advertising. These examples come from my time at JuneWarren, as I really didn't keep much record of my portfolio prior to working here. While I am trying to steer my career away from ad creation, I am always looking for new opportunities and wouldn't be opposed to doing more ad creation in the future.

Mell's Sell - Portfolio - Other Designs

On occasion I have been assigned to work on other design projects besides ad creation, cover designs, and magazine layouts. I have worked on a few design projects ranging from giant wall charts and maps, to packaging designs. Recently, I've also managed to design a catalogue for all of the former Bookstudio products, as well as the new revitalized Kite Hill projects for Spicebox, and the basic design is showcased here.

I will also showcase any future web design projects that may come my way here, if that is indeed where my career is heading. Stay tuned for more information on that endeavour.

Mell's Sell - Portfolio - Art

I wouldn't even be a graphic designer if I hadn't been interested in art since I was a child. Here you will see a wide variety of projects that I have done for myself. Some of them were college assignments, others were self-inspired projects.

They range from drawings, pencil crayon artwork, and paintings. Seeing as I have a renewed interest in creating again, check back on this page for any added artwork in the (hopefully) near future.
